Every August the Muskoka Community Foundation invites registered charities in the District of Muskoka to apply for a grant from our Smart & Caring Muskoka Fund. Grants are announced in mid-November during National Philanthropy Week.
The Muskoka Community Foundation (MCF) is pleased to announce our third annual granting from the Smart & Caring Fund.
The iconic water, rocks and trees of Muskoka are the basis of our economy and our quality of life. The environment is a keystone of our cultural heritage. The natural environment embodies all living and non-living matters and Muskoka is rich with an abundance of lakes, forests flora and fauna. Our built heritage tells the story of Muskoka’s past and defines our character. Our economy and the future of our region relies on a healthy environment and the preservation of the fundamental character of Muskoka
MCF is inviting registered charities in the District of Muskoka to apply for one of three grants of up to $2,000 for projects or initiatives that will build community vitality by addressing the issues and challenges facing Muskoka’s natural environment and built heritage. Your proposal can be for a new or existing program.
The Smart & Caring Muskoka Fund is a community fund created by MCF in November 2012 as a response to Governor General David C. Johnston’s challenge to Canadians to come together and build a smarter, more caring nation that holds promise for all.
This page will be updated with the grant application, the process details and the closing date as they become available. If you have any questions about grants, please contact Joanne Contant, Program Director at 705-646-1220 or email@example.com
