The Lowden Family Fund is a Donor-Advised Fund, created by Steve and Linda Lowden to support Muskoka’s registered charities. Steve Lowden is a 3rd generation Muskokan and a founding member of the Toronto Foundation

The Cowan Family Fund is a Donor-Advised Fund, created by John and Maggie Cowan to support registered charities primarily in Muskoka. The Cowans, who have cottaged in Muskoka for five generations, wanted to create a legacy to preserve the Muskoka they love and cherish.

In the Fall of 2009 a Donor approached the Muskoka Community Foundation with an idea of creating a Donor Advised Fund in support of Students in Muskoka who may require a little financial assistance to enable them to fully participate in school based learning opportunities in “Citizenship, Culture, Service”.
